Managing Change

External, Independent help is often critical to deliver Change

Our clients  frequently need to implement change in their business processes, organisation and systems to meet  the competitive pressures at work in the business sector. QVC uses well-developed approaches to changing organisational structures, cultures and values by evaluating where our clients want to be and develop alternatives and solutions to how they are going to get there.  At QVC, managing change also includes managing the transition.

The application of Change Management by QVC is based on world best practice aligning people through replicable processes and involving the people in the process of change providing them with the tools and working environment to facilate the change process.

To ensure the success of change, QVC engages proactively with all areas of the client business to co-ordinate the activities in people, process and tools to achieve the overall business vision whilst not compromising current service levels and existing business

QVC manages change across the four main dimensions of the complexity of change, within Kotter’s internationally recognised eight stage Change Management principles for creating major change, including:

  • Understanding what must change and how the current project/change Links to the client’s other initiatives and how it contributes to the benefits realisation process. Understasnding these Linkages is an important step.
  • Understanding who is impacted – Reach-  and to what extent.  This shapes our approach to managing the change.
  • Recognising that change is about People attitude and behaviours.
  • People’s ability and willingness to change are key determinates of the change program Timeframes.

Have you ever thought ”Are we ready for this”?

Organisations sometimes go head-long into a really good strategic direction but make hard work of it because they just weren’t prepared.

QVC helps organisations stack the odds of success in their favour by conducting a Readiness For Change assessment.  The assessment covers people and process and is completed quickly.

QVC uses Lean thinking via our strategic partnership with Unipart Expert Practices to deliver a powerful problem-solving and continuous improvement technique that harnesses the creativity and talent of the customer and external stakeholders to drive and sustain Change.
